College football schedule, games 2024: What to watch in Week 4, TV channels, Saturday kickoff times (2025)

The Week 4 schedule of the 2024college football season may not look like a slate full of blockbuster games atfirst glance, but it does provide a sampling of intriguing action featuring each of the Power Four conferences. In three of the four leagues, the marquee matchups are between teams that are in their first seasons together as conference comrades.

The exception is within the ACC, where No. 21 Clemson will host NC State at noon ET as the Wolfpack look to claim their third victory over the Tigers within the last four seasons. As the day progresses, the matchups get better with a trio of top-20 clashes carrying major conference and national implications.

No. 18 Michigan hosts No. 11 USC at 3:30 p.m. on CBS in the first regular-season meeting between the teams since 1958. Also in the afternoon window is a Big 12 battle royale as No. 12 Utah travels to No. 14 Oklahoma State for a game that will bring some early clarity to the Big 12 picture.

In the evening wave, No. 15 Oklahoma hosts No. 6 Tennessee as coach Josh Heupel leads his Volunteers into the venue where he once starred as a quarterback. Between those games and a litany of others with potential intrigue, there's plenty to keep tabs on in Week 4.

Here's a viewer's guide to help you navigate through all of Saturday's action.

The best games

NC State at No. 21 Clemson -- noon on ABC,fuboTV(try for free):Clemson got shellacked by Georgia in Week 1 but began the redemption tour with an evisceration of Appalachian State in Week 2. Now, after a bye, the Tigers will be looking to prove their 712-yard offensive output against the Mountaineers was no fluke. NC State has struggled early this season and may need to brace for impact as Clemson seeks to avenge a 24-17 loss against the Wolfpack from last season.

No. 11 USC at No. 18 Michigan -- 3:30 p.m. on CBS,CBSSports.com,CBS Sports App(Free),Paramount+ with Showtime: Michigan is turning to junior quarterback Alex Orji for a spark after the Wolverines struggled offensively with Davis Warren under center in the first three weeks. USC's defense appears improved under first-year coordinator D'Anton Lynn, but the Trojans will have their physicality tested against Michigan's rushing attack. Trojans quarterback Miller Moss will be making the first road start of his career.

No. 12 Utah at No. 14 Oklahoma State -- 4 p.m. on Fox,fuboTV(try for free):It's a battle of seventh-year quarterbacks as Utah's Cam Rising takes on Oklahoma State's Alan Bowman in a clash between two of the last Class of 2018 QBs still holding down Power Four starting jobs. This one carries major Big 12 title implications and could ultimately be a preview of the conference championship game.

No. 8 Miami at South Florida -- 7 p.m. on ESPN,fuboTV(try forfree):If South Florida can contain Miami like it contained Alabama for 3.5 quarters in Week 2, then the Hurricanes could be on upset alert. The Bulls will need more from their passing game than they got against the Crimson Tide to have a chance. But second-year coach Alex Golesh is an offensive mastermind who can test Miami's defense more than any of the Hurricanes' first three opponents did.

No. 6 Tennessee at No. 15 Oklahoma-- 7:30 p.m. on ABC,fuboTV(try for free):Tennessee outscored its first three opponents 191-13 under fourth-year coach Josh Heupel. The former national title-winning Oklahoma quarterback now returns to his old stomping grounds with something to prove after he was shown the door in 2014 following four seasons as the Sooners' offensive coordinator. OU has looked shaky in the first few weeks and will be challenged in its SEC debut.

Baylor at Colorado -- 8 p.m. on Fox,fuboTV(try forfree):Colorado's first Big 12 game since 2010 is a relatively light reintroduction. Baylor is coming off a 3-9 season and has yet to indicate whether it's significantly better in 2024. The Buffaloes will be riding high off an authoritative rivalry win over Colorado State and seeking to show they have the physicality required to compete in a physically demanding league.
